Reproductive medicine — a good investment in Ukraine

For centuries, Ukraine had a good medical basis and powerful schools. Ukrainian specialists are known all over the world for their incredible talents and treatment results of even hopelessly ill patients. Reproductive medicine branch has also done its part.

Today, Ukrainian fertility clinics that perform procedures for the saving and restoring of human reproductive health are among the best ones in the whole world. Medical tourism which is so popular in European countries has been actively developing on the Ukrainian territory as well. The reason for it is high effectiveness and low cost of all procedures in comparison with other European countries.

Such active development of reproductive medicine and great number of people, who require it, opens up new opportunities for profitable investment in Ukrainian medicine. Thus, in the nearest future, it is planned to build two skyscrapers to open innovative clinic of reproductive medicine. The new building will bring together the best experts in embryology, gynecology and obstetrics, diagnostic laboratories, the latest equipment, and, of course, brilliant ideas of Ukrainian specialists, coupled with the latest scientific and technical developments.

Having studied the market, comparing the figures and evaluating the benefits of such investments, European investors have decided not to procrastinate and do not miss this golden fish. Estimating the annual demand for reproductive services in Ukraine, the figure is quite substantial – up to 70 thousands couples fall back on medical facilities with a diagnosis of infertility.

Annually, about 8,500 ART procedures take place in Ukraine. These are IVF and surrogacy. In this case, it is also important to note that most of patients, use ART, are foreigners. All of the above factors play leading role in the European choice of Ukraine as a favorable investment field. The President of Ukraine, Viktor Yanukovych, in turn, regularly declares that local authorities are ready to create all necessary conditions for foreign investors. During a meeting of the Board of domestic and foreign investors, the President said: “Upgrading of health facilities, construction of new modern institutions of medicine is what I expect from you. And this initiative will be always supported”, – said Viktor Yanukovych.
